VOICE OVER

Students will learn a solid foundation using proven voice over fundamentals including: breathing, reading and marking copy, diction training, tips on adjusting pitch, tone, pacing, inflection and resonance to create a wide variety of vocal sounds. We will encourage their imaginations and confidence while teaching tools that will help them to make strong choices to make their reads believably come to life guiding students step by step from voice over basics to bookings to the booth!

Actorsite’s virtual VO classes change focus each month rotating from one month of Animation, one month of Commercial. THEN one month VO Demo/Scratch Clip class!

VO COMMERCIAL CLASS: Covering how to break down and prepare copy, techniques & audition tips for radio, internet, and television commercials.

VO ANIMATION CLASS: Covering creating character voices for television and film characters…all while discovering their individual personal “signature”.

VO DEMO/SCRATCH CLIP CLASS*: The first three weeks will go more in-depth with Commercial and Animation copy & techniques. In week four students will choose ONE of the pieces worked on and receive more specific coaching in preparation of them recording it for their demo clip. After the last class students have one week to record and send back an MP3 to Coach Valerie for editing (editing includes equalization, compression, level/volume mastering to optimize your audio - students will receive one high quality MP3 demo scratch clip).

* PREREQUISITE: must complete both the COMMERCIAL and ANIMATION VO classes at least once before taking VO Demo/Scratch Clip class.
