ACTORS ACCESS & CLIP REVIEW

In this group zoom class for actors and parents of actors Actorsite Co-owner Coach Amber Bohac will provide feedback on your Actors Access profile live as well as one media clip or selftape clip of your choosing (1 minute or less). She will share her screen during the session so everyone can learn from the notes given. Even if the note doesn’t apply to you yet…it may in the future!

Let Actorsite help you to make sure your Actors Access profile and clip/selftapes are competitive!

Actorsiter’s have booked literally 100’s of commercials over the years! We teach proven techniques to help develop and hone the specifically unique skills required for commercial auditioning.  This 1-day intensive will focus on teaching and reinforcing helpful rules of improv for commercial auditions.

After this FUN & ENGAGING intensive actors will have solid tools and confidence helping them to feel adventurous & fearless about taking risks during commercial auditions!

The methods taught in this class are beneficial for all levels, from beginner to seasoned pro.  It’s a great starting ground for new actors to learn the nuts and bolts of commercial auditioning and excellent for the experienced actor who may be ready for a refresh or to make the jump from just getting auditions and callbacks to BOOKING!

Acting for Musical Theater Auditions

Adding acting skills to song performances is like adding sprinkles to ice cream – it takes the experience from good to absolutely delightful!

Singers aren't just hitting the high notes; they're becoming the characters, infusing each lyric with personality and emotion. It's not just about belting out tunes; it's about telling a story through facial expressions, body language, and a dash of theatrical magic.

Do Re Mi So…now what do I do?!? In this fun Coach Valerie will help you improve your 16-32 bar cut for your musical theater auditions! (That’s about 30 seconds of an upbeat broadway song)  Whether you are currently auditioning for school plays, community theater or Broadway you will benefit from this special intensive class! Actors can choose to send in a self tape ahead of time of their song or perform your song cut live in class. You’ll receive performance notes and will workshop it with Valerie then perform it again with more confidence as you would for an actual audition.

You may know Valerie as Actorsite’s Voiceover Coach - she is a BAFTA Nominated actor who broke onto the scene after playing Edith Finch in Annapurna Interactive’s critically acclaimed What Remains of Edith Finch (BAFTA Win – Best Game). But in addition to her awesome voiceover skills she loves singing & performing live as well! Her recent onstage credits include: The Wizard of Oz (Dorothy), Peter Pan (Wendy/Broadway in the Park), Parade (Mary/3D Theatricals), and The Fantasticks (Luisa u/s).

VO HOW TO EDIT IN AUDACITY

Editing, editing, editing!  How do you use Audacity?  How much should you be editing your voice over auditions?  How do you export a file? 

Learn all this and more in this one day virtual workshop covering the basics of using Audacity to send clean and professional audio, whether you are auditioning or sending a session file from home! Coach Valerie will also give guidance and useful tips on your at-home voice-over recording setup.
