Every comedic scene has a rhythm. Beats, pauses, builds, turns, repeats, escalations, and that tiny breath right before the payoff. Move one small piece of that math and the whole moment changes with it. In 90 minutes we'll teach actors how to hear that rhythm, and then turn them loose on it.

This 90-minute Intensive of the Month is your first taste of it. We'll get into how a comedy scene is built, where the information sits, how two characters trade rhythm back and forth, and what happens to a moment when you add half a second or take one away. It's the same work Actorsiters go deep on in the full 4-week class, packed into one fast, funny, hands-on session.

This intensive is for actors who want to:

Get ready to level up your voice over skills and embark on an epic journey into the world of video game voice over!  For new and experienced voice over actors alike, whether you play video games or not - don’t miss this exhilarating quest!  In this virtual intensive class students will dive headfirst into the captivating realm of video game voice acting and it will equip you with the tools and techniques needed to bring game characters to life that will resonate with gamers around the globe.

Led by award winning Coach Valerie Rose Lohman who has extensive experience in the gaming world; Coach Valerie is a BAFTA Nominated Voiceover actor and MoCap performer based in LA. She has appeared in numerous Video Games and Animated Series, including Cobra Kai: the Saga Continues, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wylde Flowers, Tower of God, Smite, Paladins, and more. 

This class will cover the tones and styles of different game genres, tips to break down multiple scripts and how to make strong character development choices allowing you to create a captivating read.  Whether in exciting game-play action, intense battle sequences or epic cinematic storytelling cut scenes - You'll learn how to master the unique challenges of voicing in-game dialogue, character fight scenes, how to properly perform efforts & exertions in a healthy vocal cord way, conveying urgency, excitement, and harness emotion building immersive narratives that will keep players on the edge of their seats.

Acting for Musical Theater Auditions

Adding acting skills to song performances is like adding sprinkles to ice cream – it takes the experience from good to absolutely delightful!

Singers aren't just hitting the high notes; they're becoming the characters, infusing each lyric with personality and emotion. It's not just about belting out tunes; it's about telling a story through facial expressions, body language, and a dash of theatrical magic.

Do Re Mi So…now what do I do?!?

Coach Valerie will help you improve your 16-32 bar cut for your musical theater auditions! (That’s about 30 seconds of an upbeat broadway song)  Whether you are currently auditioning for school plays, community theater or Broadway you will benefit from this special intensive class! Actors can choose to send in a self tape ahead of time of their song or perform your song cut live in class. You’ll receive performance notes and will workshop it with Valerie then perform it again with more confidence as you would for an actual audition.

You may know Valerie as Actorsite’s Voiceover Coach - she is a BAFTA Nominated actor who broke onto the scene after playing Edith Finch in Annapurna Interactive’s critically acclaimed What Remains of Edith Finch (BAFTA Win – Best Game). But in addition to her awesome voiceover skills she loves singing & performing live as well! ONE DAY IMPROV for COMMERCIALS

Intensive of the Month

Actorsiter’s have booked literally 100’s of commercials over the years!  We teach proven techniques to help develop and hone the specifically unique skills required for commercial auditioning.  This 1-day Intensive will focus on teaching and reinforcing helpful rules of improv for commercial auditions and tips to enhance scripted commercial auditions.
